Lee Joon-gi debuted on screen as a model for the apparel brand So Basic in 2001. He made his acting debut in a Korean-language Japanese film “The Hotel Venus,” (2004), directed by Hideta Takahata. Lee rose to fame by taking on the part of the clown named Gong-Gil in “The King and the Clown,” (2005), a historical drama film directed by Lee Joon-ik, that sold over 12.3 million tickets at the local box office. Lee recently featured as a prosecutor Kim Hee-woo, who came back from the dead whose mission lies in ridding society of the ultimate evil in SBS's 2022 drama series “Again My Life.”
