Boy band 8TURN debuted in January 2023 with its first EP “8Turnrise” under MNH Entertainment, as the agency’s first male group. It consists of eight members: Jaeyun, Kyungmin, Myungho, Minho, Yoonsung, Haemin, Yungyu, and Seungheon.
The group name means that it is now their turn [to see success] in the K-pop scene, and also derived from the fact that the number 8 turned sideways is an infinity symbol.
Jaeyun is a dual citizen of Korea and New Zealand, while the rest of the members are Korean.
Prior to the band’s debut, Jaeyun was known as a contestant on audition shows “Boys 24” (2016) and “M IX Nine” (2017-18), and Kyungmin on “I-Land” (2020).
The name of its fandom is TURNING.
