INFORMATION

Boy band Ciipher, which was put together and produced by Rain, one of the best-known figures in K-pop, debuted in March 2021 with seven members — leader Hyunbin, Tan, Hwi, Keita, Tag, Dohwan and Won.

Four members of the band quit the group on Aug. 10, 2023, according to Rain Company, leaving only Hyunbin, Hwi and Keita under the Ciipher name.

The four members that quit are Tan, Tag, Dohwan and Won.

The agency said three remaining members are set to meet fans regularly through different projects.

Keita participated in cable channel Mnet’s audition program “Boys Planet,” and Hyunbin competed in MBC’s audition program “Fantasy Boys” in early 2023.

Keita will be part of upcoming boy band EVNNE, pronounced “even,” with six other contestants from “Boys Planet” under Jellyfish Entertainment before the end of 2023.
