INFORMATION

I.O.I was a project girl group that debuted in May 2016 under YMC Entertainment and Swing Entertainment with the EP "Chrysalis," until the group disbanded in January 2017. The group was formed in April 2016 with the top 11 finalists of Mnet's hit audition program "Produce 101."

It consisted of members Jeon Somi, Kim Se-jeong, Choi Yoo-jung, Kim Chung-ha, Kim So-hye, Zhou Jieqiong, Jung Chae-yeon, Kim Do-yeon, Kang Mi-na, Lim Na-young and Yoo Yeon-jung.

I.O.I stands for "Ideal Of Idol" and is also a play on the number "101." It was best known for "Whatta Man" (2016) and "Very Very Very" (2016).

Members have been pursuing solo careers in various fields, such as music and acting, ever since.

The members reunited in May 2021 for a live show celebrating I.O.I's fifth debut anniversary.

Where are I.O.I members now?

Jeon Somi and Kim Chung-ha (Chung Ha) are now active as solo singers.

Kim Se-jeong joined the girl group Gugudan, which debuted in June 2016 and disbanded in December 2020. She has been mainly active as an actor.

Kang Mi-na was also a member of Gugudan and has mainly focused on acting.

Kim So-hye has been active mainly as an actor since I.O.I disbanded.

Jung Chae-yeon continued her career as an idol as part of the girl group DIA, which was active from September 2015 to September 2022. She has mainly been active as an actor.

Yoo Yeon-jung went on to join the girl group WJSN.

Zhou Jieqiong and Lim Na-young went on to debut as members of the girl group Pristin in March 2017. The group disbanded in May 2019. Lim is now active as an actor and singer. Zhou is active as an actor and singer back in China.

Kim Do-yeon and Choi Yoo-jung debuted as members of the girl group Weki Meki in August 2017. Choi also made her solo debut in September 2022.
