Was Mamamoo+'s original subunit name supposed to be "Two Rabbits"?

Yes. Moonbyul and Solar revealed during an interview with the local media, including the Korea JoongAng Daily & Celeb Confirmed that the CEO of the duo's agency, RBW, originally suggested the name "Two Rabbits."

“The name of the EP ‘Two Rabbits’ was actually supposed to be our subunit name,” Solar explained in July 2023. “Our CEO recommended the name to us but we declined it […] but then we brought it back, as we thought it would be more suitable as the name of our EP.”

Was Mamamoo+'s lead track for its first EP "dangdang" released in 2023 actually a song prepared for Mamamoo back in 2018?

Yes. The duo shared that "dangdang" was in competition with "Starry Night" (2018), as the girl group's next lead track.

“'dangdang’ was actually meant to be Mamamoo’s lead track [around 2018], but we had some clashes among members on whether or not to continue Mamamoo’s upbeat tune like in ‘dangdang,’ or to try something different,” Moonbyul said at an interview with the local media in August.

“We eventually decided to try something new, which ended up as ‘Starry Night’ [2018], meaning this song was put on hold.”
