NCT Dream is a subunit of the boy band NCT under SM Entertainment.
NCT Dream debuted in August 2016 with the digital single "Chewing Gum."
It consists of seven members: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, Jaemin and Jisung. Mark and Haechan are also part of NCT 127, another subunit of NCT.
NCT Dream was originally a subunit of NCT's teenage members. Members were supposed to leave the group when they became 20 years old. The subunit's most senior member, Mark, actually left or "graduated" from NCT Dream in 2018 but rejoined in 2020 after that rule was repealed.
In September 2022, the boy band held a concert titled "The Dream Show2 : In A Dream" at the Seoul Olympic Stadium, one of Korea's largest performance venues, considered a milestone in a K-pop act's success.
In December of that year, its winter special EP "Candy" sold over 1.59 million copies in the first week of release, setting the highest CD sales record by a group under SM Entertainment.
