WEi

Boy band WEi debuted in October 2020 with its first EP, “Identity : First Sight,” under Oui Entertainment.

It consists of members Daehyeon, Donghan, Yongha, Yohan, Seokhwa and Junseo.

All but one of the members had already built careers in the K-pop scene before re-debuting as WEi. Daehyeon was a member of the project boy bands Rainz and was also active as a solo singer. Donghan was a member of the project boy band JBJ; Yohan of X1; Yongha and Junseo of 1The9. Seokhwa was also known to the public through his appearance in the audition shows “YG Treasure Box” (2018-19) and “Produce X 101” (2019).

The band enjoyed a big fanbase from the beginning thanks to the members’ existing careers. Shortly after debuting,

WEi won APAN Choice New K-pop Icon at the 2020 APAN Music Awards hosted by the Korea Entertainment Management Association. The boy band held its first world tour, “2022 WEi World Tour [First Love],” between September and October 2022. WEi’s fandom is dubbed RUi.
