SBS drama series "Today's Webtoon" (translated) starring actors Kim Se-jeong, Nam Yoon-su and Choi Daniel will premiere in July.

"The drama will air on the small screen on July 29 with scenes that convey sympathy and comfort to young people at the crossroads of dreams and reality and send a message of support to office workers who do their best in their respective positions," the drama's production team said in a statement on Tuesday.

The series is a coming-of-age story about a former judo player named On Ma-eum who started work at a webtoon company as an editor. The series is expected to draw realistic situations of office workers and the fast-paced life of webtoon creators.

It is based on a Japanese manga series titled "Juhan Shuttai!" which was also made into a Japanese drama in 2016. Actors Haru Kuroki, Kentaro Sakaguchi and Joe Odagiri starred in the series.

Character On will be portrayed by Kim. Nam will portray Koo Jun-young, a sales team employee at the same company. Choi will play Seok Ji-hyung, the vice editor in chief of the webtoon company. The series marks Choi's return to the small screen for the first time in four years.

"Today's Webtoon" recently concluded table reads and began filming.

The series is slated to be comprised of 16 episodes that will air every Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m.
