2PM’s Junho, Girls' Generation's Yoona to star in new JTBC romance drama

Junho of boy band 2PM and Yoona of girl group Girls' Generation will star in new JTBC romance drama “King the Land,” JTBC announced Friday.

“King the Land” will tell the story of an heir to a conglomerate, Goowon, played by Junho, who meets a woman played by Yoona named Cheon Sa-rang.

Junho previously played a lead role in the drama “The Red Sleeve” (2021), for which he received acclaim. He debuted as an actor in the movie “Cold Eyes” in 2013. Junho has also been active as a member of 2PM, a band out of JYP Entertainment.

Yoona debuted as a member of girl group Girls' Generation in 2007 and played various roles in dramas such as “Love Rain” (2012), “The King in Love” (2017) and most recently “Big Mouth” (2022). She has starred in many films also, including “Confidential Assignment” (2017) and “Exit” (2019).

The first episode of “King the Land” will air at 10:30 p.m. on June 17.
