BTS to deliver message of hope at UN General Assembly
Boy band BTS will deliver a message of hope for future generations in the post Covid-19 era at the 75th United Nations (UN) General Assembly on Wednesday, the Korean Committee of Unicef said on Tuesday.
The UN Group of Friends of Solidarity for Global Health Security invited BTS to be a special speaker for future generations facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
Co-chaired by Korea, Denmark, Sierra Leone, Qatar and Canada, with more than 40 UN member states participating, the UN Group was launched in May as the first group after the Covid-19 outbreak to discuss health and security issues and to come up with comprehensive, coordinated public health measures.
In the special video, BTS will send a message to live together in a new world, which is a step forward from the group’s first speech which it presented at the 73rd UN General Assembly in 2018 when they talked about how to “Love Myself.”
The meeting, which will introduce various views of the international community amid the Covid-19 crisis, will be broadcast live from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday through UN Web TV ( http://webtv.un.org) and through the Facebook page of Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
