Block B members Jaehyo, B-Bomb and U-Kwon to leave agency
Jaehyo, B-Bomb and U-Kwon of boy band Block B will not renew their contracts with their agency Seven Seasons, the company said Wednesday.
"Our exclusive contract with Block B members Jaehyo, B-Bomb and U-Kwon has ended," Seven Seasons said in a statement. "We thank the members for being with us for such a long time and cheer them on in their upcoming journey."
According to Seven Seasons, the three members' contracts ended this month but the contracts for two members — Taeil and Park Kyung — are still valid. Zico is signed with his own label KOZ Entertainment and P.O with Artist Company.
The seven members of Block B signed with Seven Seasons in August 2013 after a legal dispute with their former agency Stardom Entertainment over payment issues.
Seven Seasons is owned by KQ Entertainment, a K-pop agency home to boy band Ateez. It only manages Block B.
Block B debuted as a hip-hop boy band in April 2011 with EP "Do U Wanna B?" and has released hits such as "Nillili Mambo" (2012), "NalinA" (2012), "Her" (2016) and "Very Good" (2016).
