CJ ENM’s K-culture festival KCON concludes its three-day run

CJ ENM’s K-culture festival KCON concluded its three-day run in Los Angeles on Sunday, returning after a two-year hiatus caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to CJ ENM, a total of 7.17 million people from 176 nations participated both offline and online during “KCON 2022 LA” from Aug. 19 to Sunday. Approximately 90,000 fans attended the in-person events at Los Angeles’ LA Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena, while 7.08 million fans participated via YouTube and Tving.

KCON offers concerts and cultural experience booths for fans of K-pop, K-dramas and other K-culture content. Events for 2020 and 2021 were all held online due to Covid.

Key performances of “KCON 2022 LA” was livestreamed online for fans around the globe. K-pop groups including ITZY, Ateez, Enhypen, Kep1er, Cravity, STAYC, Lightsum and TO1 performed on stage at the Crypto.com Arena on Saturday and Sunday.

Other booths offered photoshoots with popular K-drama and film posters, making Korean food and experiencing K-beauty cosmetics and skincare products.
