The cast and crew of the film "Avatar: The Way of Water" will be visiting Korea ahead of the film's premiere next month.
Director John Cameron, producer Jon Landau as well as actors including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang will be visiting Korea on Dec. 9, according to Walt Disney Company Korea on Tuesday.
They are set to meet with the local audience and discuss the upcoming film through various interviews and events.
"Avatar: The Way of Water" is a sequel to the 2009 blockbuster science-fiction film "Avatar." It became the first foreign film to surpass 10 million ticket sales in Korea.
Korea will be the first country in which the new "Avatar" film opens in theaters, on Dec. 14.
Its story is a continuation of the first film which saw an ex-marine named Jake, who is paralyzed from the waist down, walk again by inhabiting his avatar body, to which his consciousness is linked. Jake in "Avatar: The Way of Water" forms a family with another avatar but soon faces various obstacles that force them to leave their original home and travel to new regions on their planet named Pandora.
