Pianist Cho Seong-jin will appear on cable network tvN’s variety show “You Quiz on the Block,” in March according to local media.

Cho’s appearance on “You Quiz on the Block,” will be the pianist’s first appearance on a variety show.

“You Quiz,” hosted by entertainers Yu Jae-seok and Cho Sae-ho, is a popular show that interviews guests, including non-celebrities, from a variety of professional fields.

Cho rose to fame after becoming the first Korean ever to win first prize at the prestigious International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2015. The pianist made Koreans proud and sparked renewed interest in classical music. He recently performed five concerts with maestro Chung Myung-whun and Germany’s Staatskapelle Dresden in Korea in March.

The pianist will continue his activities in Prague on March 16, 17 and 18, performing with the Czech Philharmonic.
