Singer Rain will hold his first solo performance in the Blue House on June 17.

“Thanks to all of you, I am honored to perform solo in the Blue House at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 17,” he wrote on his Instagram on Thursday. “All I need from you are three things: Dress code is anything black, black sunglasses, and a heated passion where you can throw yourself into the beat.”

With Korea’s new president Yoon Suk-yeol settling in his office in Yongsan, central Seoul, the once highly restricted Blue House on May 10 was opened to the public for the first time in 74 years. It’s also the first time for a musician to hold a solo performance there.

The singer revealed the performance will be in collaboration with the filming for his upcoming Netflix music variety show “Rain” (translated).

“The stage will be filmed by Netflix and [the audience and I] need to have a rehearsal, and the number of songs I perform may be limited,” he said.

However, the singer did not elaborate on the specific details related to the performance. The performance is free of charge.

Those who wish to participate in the performance can apply through a link the singer posted on his Instagram.
