Three singers sign on to soundtrack of ‘Cliffhanger’

Singers Taeyeon, Kim Jong-wan from indie rock band Nell, and Gaho will feature on the soundtrack for the highly anticipated drama series “Cliffhanger,” which is expected to air later this year on cable channel tvN.

The series’ production company, A Story, released on a statement Thursday saying the three singers have agreed to participate.

Taeyeon was featured on the soundtracks of tvN’s “Hotel Del Luna” (2019), KBS’s “Hong Gil Dong” (2008) and MBC’s “Beethoven Virus” (2008). Kim sang on the soundtracks of “Tale of the Nine-tailed” (2020) on tvN and “She Would Never Know” (2021) on JTBC.

Gaho, a rookie singer, is known for his song “Start Over” from the hit JTBC series “Itaewon Class” (2020).

“The secondary line-up of artists will be released soon, ” A Story added, “which will include top global artists.”

“Cliffhanger” is a mystery about people who climb mountains and features a star-studded cast including Jun Ji-hyun and Ju Ji-hoon.
The series, set on Mount Jiri, is being written by Kim Eun-hee, known for the Netflix original series “Kingdom” (2019) and tvN series” Signal” (2016), and produced by Lee Eung-bok, who is known for such popular drama series as “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” (2016-2017) on tvN, “Descendants of the Sun” (2016) on KBS and the Netflix original series “Sweet Home” (2020).
