Actor Ahn Jae-hong, director Lee Byeong-heon to work together on 'Chicken Nugget' Netflix series

Actor Ahn Jae-hong and director Lee Byeong-heon will work together again for the Netflix adaptation of “Chicken Nugget,” a webtoon series on Naver Webtoon.

Ahn and Lee previously worked together on the JTBC drama “Be Melodramatic,” aired in 2018.

“Chicken Nugget” is a comedy piece where a father seeks to find his daughter after she transforms into a chicken nugget, assisted by a man who has a crush on her. Ahn will play the man with the crush on the daughter.

Ahn joins a cast headed by Ryu Seung-ryong, who will play the father, and an special appearance by Kim Yoo-jung.

Ahn made his debut in 2009 with the short film “A Perfect Sight,” and rose to stardom with his comical yet characteristic portrayal of Jung-bong in the hit tvN drama series “Reply 1998” (2015). He has since appeared in “Fight for My Way” (2017), “Be Melodramatic” (2018), and the second season of “Kingdom” (2020). Ahn is also set to appear in the Netflix adaptation of the popular webtoon “Mask Girl,” which is set to be released next year and is currently filming.
