'Boys Planet' star Jay Chang to debut with 'Late Night' on Oct. 17
Jay Chang from “Boys Planet” will debut with solo EP “Late Night” on Oct. 17.
Jay Chang landed No. 10 on the final episode of Mnet’s boy band audition program “Boys Planet,” missing his chance to debut as part of the nine-member project by band ZeroBaseOne by a close margin.
“’Late Night’ will be an album that introduces its listeners to Jay Chang’s broad music world, shown through songs in a variety of genres with his all-rounder vocalist skills,” his agency FM Entertainment said in a press release Wednesday.
The album will feature six tracks, including two lead tracks: “I’ll Be There” and “Rockstar,” followed by “Up To You,” “Sunlight” and English versions of the two lead tracks.
Jay Chang participated in the lyrics for all of the songs in the album, according to his agency.
There will be two versions of the album, “Late” and “Night,” with preorders for the album starting Wednesday.
American solo singer Jay Chang first appeared on MBC’s boy band audition program “Under Nineteen” (2018), landing No. 18 on the sixth episode of the show, before joining “Boys Planet” in 2023. Before his solo debut, Jay Chang dropped three digital single releases, “Is you” (2020), “Liar” (2022) and “I’d do anything.”
Jay Chang signed with FM Entertainment in September.
