Bruno Mars thanks fans in Korean after music show win for his collab with Rosé
Global pop star Bruno Mars expressed his gratitude in Korean after hearing the news of his win on a Korean music chart show.
"Thank you so much to my Korean fans. I cried all morning because I won my first music show,” said Mars in Korean in his Instagram post on Friday.
"Thank you so much to Rosé for helping me win first place, and please love 'APT.' a lot." He added, “Love, Bruno oppa,” using the Korean term for an older male.
Mars won first place on Mnet's music show "M Countdown" on Thursday with his collaboration with Rosé, marking his first music show win in Korea 15 years after his debut.
“APT.” is a prerelease track from Rosé's upcoming first full-length album, “rosie,” slated to be released on Dec. 6.
The song immediately dominated major Korean music streaming platforms like Melon, Genie, Bugs and Vibe. It also sits atop Spotify's Global Top 50 chart as of Friday morning, making Rosé the first Korean female soloist to take the No. 1 spot on the chart.
