BTS's V voted K-pop artist with best overall performance in March by fan platform Picnic
BTS’s V has been selected as the K-pop artist with the best overall performance in March, according to the fan voting platform Picnic.
In the poll conducted from April 3 to 17, V ranked first with 494,252 votes. Choi Ye-na came in second with 85,525 votes, followed by fellow BTS member Jungkook in third place with 69,710 votes.
According to Picnic, the poll results reflect a comprehensive brand value that combines live performances, online presence and related activities. The voting platform said that global tours and social media in particular have become key pillars in shaping the brand power of these K-pop artists.
BTS, the global boy band, is currently on its “Arirang” world tour, which began in Goyang, Gyeonggi, on April 9. The tour is scheduled to have a total of 81 shows across 34 cities.
As for V’s individual career, the singer is preparing to expand his solo activities. In a recent interview with the U.S.-based magazine Rolling Stone, he revealed that he plans to expand his career by releasing a solo album and pursuing acting.
V is also maintaining a strong presence online. As of Thursday, V ranks No. 1 on the “Top Music Influencers on Instagram” list compiled by the influencer marketing platform HypeAuditor.
