Fans of Queen pose for photos next to a life-sized statue of the rock band's legendary vocalist Freddie Mercury in Aewol on Jeju Island on Thursday. The unveiling ceremony of the statue was held at 2 p.m. Thursday. It has been reported that the rock band’s local fan clubs — Naver’s “We will rock you” and Daum Kakao’s “Queen Forever” — and the chairman of the project Baek Soon-yeop spent eight years on the statue project, which is only the second in the world after one in Montreux, Switzerland.
