Jungkook's 'Standing Next to You' lands at No. 5 on Billboard Hot 100
BTSJungkook's "Standing Next to You," the lead track from his solo album "Golden," landed at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 on Tuesday, making him the only K-pop solo artist to have three songs enter the chart's top 10.
"Golden," released on Nov. 3, is Jungkook's first full-length solo album.
"Standing Next to You" marks his third song to reach the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, following his previous releases "Seven(feat. Latto)" at No. 1, "3D(feat. Jack Harlow)" at No. 5.
The lead track is also Jungkook's sixth song to chart in the Hot 100, breaking his tie with "Gangnam Style" (2012) singer Psy. His songs such as "Stay Alive (Prod. SUGA of BTS)" (2022), "Left and Right" (2022) and "Too Much" entered the Hot 100 chart as well.
His album "Golden" landed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, being one of the highest-ranked K-pop artists in the chart. The album sold over 200,000 copies in the United States, making it the best-selling K-pop solo album in the country.
Jungkook, whose real name is Jun Jung-kook, debuted as a member of boy band BTS in 2013. He released his first solo debut single, "Seven," on July 14 and is actively pursuing his solo career with this new full-length album, "Golden."
