NewJeans' Minji posts cryptic message online amid ADOR CEO drama
Minji of NewJeans posted an enigmatic message on Wednesday, the day that the girl group gave its agency as the deadline for bringing back Min Hee-jin as the CEO, on the group's online fan community app.
"Tonight, filled with so many thoughts," Minji wrote on Phoning, NewJeans' exclusive fan community app.
"Bunnies always cheer me up," she continued, referring to the girl group's fan club, named Bunnies. "Always take care of yourselves and only think of good things. Byeee."
Earlier this month, NewJeans held a surprise YouTube livestream, during which the members claimed that they were being "subtly bullied" by HYBE staff and demanded that ADOR bring back Min as the CEO.
NewJeans gave ADOR and HYBE a specific deadline, Sept. 25, to replace current CEO Kim Ju-young with Min.
HYBE did not make an official statement following the livestream, but HYBE CEO Lee Jae-sang said that the company will take "calm measures based on principles" at the shareholder meeting held the day following the YouTube livestream.
NewJeans members met with current ADOR CEO Kim on Monday, but the company did not reveal the discussions had during the meeting.
