Red Velvet's Yeri to star in 'Cheongdam International High School'
Yeri of K-pop girl group Red Velvet has been cast in the upcoming drama series “Cheongdam International High School” (translated).
Yeri will play the role of Baek Je-na, the heiress of a large conglomerate with money, looks and popularity. She will play a queen-bee character who gets involved in a murder that happens at her high school.
“I am very happy to be able to approach my fans in a different way through this new role,” said Yeri through her agency, SM Entertainment. “We are working hard to create a wonderful series with good actors and production staff, so please look out for our new project.”
"Cheongdam International High School" will air sometime next year, although the channel or distributor has not been announced.
Yeri debuted as a member of girl group Red Velvet in 2014, along with Irene, Wendy, Joy and Seulgi. The group is best known for hits such as “Ice Cream Cake” (2015), “Russian Roulette” (2016), “Red Flavor” (2017), “Power Up” (2018) and “Queendom” (2021).
