SBS confirmed the cast of its upcoming drama series “National Death Penalty Vote” (working title).

The series, based on a popular webtoon of the same title, will star actors Park Hae-jin, Park Sung-woong and Lim Ji-yeon. It follows a mysterious figure with the alias Gaetal. Gaetal conducts a survey on the Korean people via text message to decide whether to put certain vicious criminals to death, then proceeds to murder them based on the results.

Park Hae-jin and Lim will take on the role of police officers, and Park Sung-woong is to play an inmate who was convicted of murdering the rapist of his 8-year-old daughter.

The series will air next year.
