Seoul to hold outdoor music fest Beautiful Mint Life 2021 next weekend

Post of the Beautiful Mint Life 2021 [MINT PAPER]

The Beautiful Mint Life 2021 music festival will take place on June 26 and 27 at the Olympic Park in southern Seoul as Korea's first large-scale outdoor music festival to be held since the Covid-19 pandemic broke out early last year.

The new social distancing guidelines laid out by the government on June 11 significantly increased the number of visitors that a pop music venue can hold, from 100 to a massive 4,000 people at a time. The festival will host a total of 8,000 people during the two-day run.

"We are fully aware that the loosening guidelines do not mean that the pandemic is over," festival organizer Mint Paper said. "We feel a sense of responsibility graver than ever, and we are preparing accordingly."

Beautiful Mint Life is thus the talk of the town for festival and concert organizers from all over the country, who hope to see the festival take place successfully and set an example for other festivities to follow.

For the greatest caution levels, Mint Paper will run a "disinfection center" at the KSPO Dome, where all visitors will be required to have their body temperature checked and QR code scanned, as well as passing the self-testing kit to help ensure they do not have the virus.

The festival site will not have a standing zone, but guests can sit down on chairs or mats. Once seated, they cannot move their places around. Only beverages are allowed to be consumed, and loudly singing along is strictly forbidden.

Organizers asked for people's support on the unprecedented festival rules, as the "unprecedented situation" called for such measures. Remaining tickets can be bought at Mint Paper's official website, Interpark and WeMakePrice.

This year's lineup of artists will include Paul Kim, Lee Hi, Surl, Soran, Stella Jang, Soran, Colde, N.Flying and more.
