Boy band Seventeen will release its 12th EP on Oct. 14, its agency Pledis Entertainment said Friday.

The agency uploaded a teaser video on its official social media accounts at midnight on Thursday.

No details other than the date were unveiled on Friday, but a phrase within the teaser video read "I Felt Helpless," showing a stark contrast from the energetic vibe that Seventeen has been known for so far.

The EP comes six months after the release of its previous album "17 Is Right Here" in April and a year after its previous EP "Seventeenth Heaven" last October.

The band sold over 5.3 million albums during the first half of this year, according to Pledis Entertainment, including the album "This Man" by JxW, a unit formed by members Jeonghan and Wonwoo.

Seventeen is set to kick off its "Right Here" world tour with two concerts in Goyang, Gyeonggi, on Oct. 12 and 13.
