Boy band SHINee celebrated the birthday of its late member Jonghyun on Monday.

A picture of Jonghyun was uploaded on Monday on SHINee's official Instagram account with the caption, "04.08 #Jonghyun #SHINee," followed by over 13,000 comments as of Monday afternoon.

Jonghyun, whose real name was Kim Jong-hyun, was born on April 8, 1990. He was a member of boy band SHINee and died in December 2017.

SM Entertainment, Jonghyun's agency at the time and the band's current agency, has kept the band's description as a five-member boy band on its official website even since Jonghyun's death.

The band has been celebrating Jonghyun's birthday every year since his death on its official Instagram account, including this year on Monday.

SHINee members also celebrated Jonghyun's birthday through their individual social media accounts. Member Minho shared a video of the band celebrating Jonghyun's birthday together in the past with the caption, "Happy Birthday. I'll never forget."

Key uploaded a picture with all members eating together with the caption, "Happy b day love."

Jonghyun debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008.
