The world's largest water festival is coming to Korea.

Tickets to Korea's first Songkran Music Festival will go on sale from 6 p.m. on Thursday evening, according to local ticketing platform Wemakeprice Korea.

Early bird tickets are 159,000 won ($125) while regular tickets cost 258,000 won. They are exclusively available on Wemakeprice's Korean website.

S20 Songkran Music Festival will be held on July 9 and 10 at Seoul Land in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi, some 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) away from Seoul.

The festival is based on Thailand's traditional New Year festival Songkran. The event is also held in other parts of Asia such as Japan, Taiwan and China. Some 300,000 people attend the festival every year.

The festival was originally slated to take place in Korea two years ago but was postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is also characterized by exciting EDM music and a lineup of popular singers. The lineup for Korea has not yet been announced.
