Super Junior to hold fan meeting to mark 18th anniversary in November

Boy band Super Junior [SM ENTERTAINMENT]

Super Junior will hold a fan meeting on Nov. 4 to celebrate the boy band's 18th anniversary.

The event, titled "1t's 8lue," will be held twice at the Grand Peace Palace at Kyung Hee University, eastern Seoul, with the first fan meeting at 2 p.m. and the second at 7 p.m. The venue can accommodate up to 4,500 people.

It will be Super Junior's first fan meeting event since the boy band held one in Japan in April 2022.

The band's fans, however, have expressed concerns about the size of the venue, starting a hashtag "Change the location for Super Junior's fan meeting" on X, formerly Twitter. More than 228,000 posts have been made since the announcement, with Korean and global fans of Super Junior asking the boy band's agency, SM Entertainment, to choose a larger venue.

The event will have Super Junior performing the band's hit tracks alongside mini-games and talk sessions, according to SM Entertainment.

Tickets will be available first to the members of Super Junior's fan club on Oct. 18, followed by general ticket sales on Oct. 20.

The 7 p.m. performance will be streamed live online, with further details to be announced later.

Super Junior debuted in 2005 with its first full-length album "Super Junior05." It is widely considered one of the pioneering K-pop boy bands of the 2000s, known for many hits such as "U" (2006), "Rokuko" (2008), "Sorry Sorry" (2009), "Mr. Simple" (2011) and more.

Members Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Siwon and Ryeowook renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment in July, while Eunhyuk, Donghae and Kyuhyun did not.

All members of the boy band have agreed to continue its group activities as Super Junior under SM Entertainment.
