Taiwanese girl group GenBlue will make its Korean debut in May, its agency Ten Entertainment announced in a press release Monday.

The group first announced its plans to debut in Korea, in what it called in Chinese the “2024 Limitless Project by Ten Entertainment,” during its showcase for the release of its first album, “For You,” on Dec. 1.

The group plans to sign a training contract with a Korean agency in February and undergo an intensive training program for three months before releasing its first single in Korea in May, according to its agency.

“It feels like we got an early Christmas present,” members of the group said in the press release.

“We will work on establishing an international perspective starting off with this project,” Ten Entertainment said. “We aim to expand worldwide, including Korea, in the future.”

GenBlue was formed through a survival program “Next Girlz,” which ended in October. It consists of nine members: Hsu Yuan-Yuan, Xxin, Bido, Yu, Nico, Vicky, Tsai Chen, Rong Rong and Ayeon.
