Ten's 1st solo EP tops global charts on release

Ten's first solo EP, "TEN," topped music charts around the world upon its release, his agency SM Entertainment said Wednesday.

The member of boy band NCT dropped his first solo album on Tuesday.

The release topped iTunes' Worldwide Albums chart, QQ Music's Digital Album Sales chart, Japanese music service AWA's real-time trending chart alongside Hunter Chart and Circle Chart's retail album charts in Korea.

Notably, the EP landed at No. 1 on iTunes' Top Albums chart in 28 regions around the world upon its release, including Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Norway, Poland and India.

The lead track of the EP, "Nightwalker," also saw positive results on music charts, ranking No. 1 on streaming service Bugs' real-time chart upon its release as well as claiming the No. 1 spot on iTunes' Top Song chart in 14 regions around the world.

Ten debuted as a member of NCT in 2016. He is currently active under WayV, NCT's subgroup focusing mainly on the Chinese market.

He has dropped multiple solo singles, including "Dream In A Dream" (2017) and "New Heroes" (2018), released as a part of SM Entertainment's music project SM Station 2, alongside digital singles "Paint Me Naked" (2021) and "Birthday" (2022).

Ten's eponymous EP features a total of six English tracks. Its lead track "Nightwalker" is a pop-dance score featuring addictive beats and bass.

The singer will kick off his first fan concert "1001" on Saturday at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, eastern Seoul, followed by stops in Bangkok, Thailand on March 3, Hong Kong on March 9 and Jakarta, Indonesia on April 27.
