INFORMATION

Weeekly debuted in June 2020 and is currently managed by IST Entertainment, home to girl group Apink and boy bands The Boyz and Victon. The girl group originally debuted with seven members — Jihan, Zoa, Monday, Jiyoon, Jaehee, Soojin, Soeun and Jiyoon. The group's lore, often referred to as "universe" in K-pop, is that the members are extra-terrestrial beings, each in charge of a day of the week. However, former member Jiyoon quit in June 2022. Its best hits include the funky-teen vibe dance tracks "After School" (2021), "Holiday Party" (2021) and "Tag Me (@Me)" (2020).

What agency is Weeekly under?

It is signed with IST Entertainment, a subsidiary of Kakao Entertainment. IST Entertainment was founded as a result of the merger between Play M Entertainment and Cre.ker Entertainment, which were both subsidiaries of Kakao Entertainment. Play M Entertainment was home to K-pop groups Apink, Victon and Weeekly, while Cre.ker Entertainment managed the boy band The Boyz.

What is the name of the fandom?

Weeekly's fan club is called Daileee, meaning that without Daileee, Weeekly cannot exist. It echoes the three "e" s in Weeekly's name while playing with the meaning of the English word. The name was decided through a fan vote in August 2020.
