Actor Park Hae-soo, best known for his roles in Netflix’s “Squid Game” (2021) and “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” (2022), has signed with United Talent Agency (UTA).

Online news site Deadline reported Friday that “it comes after a major courtship by the Hollywood agencies to the cast and creatives behind the smash hit Korean dystopian drama series.”

UTA represents celebrities like Benedict Cumberbatch, James McAvoy, Anthony Hopkins, Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron.

Other “Squid Game” stars, director Hwang Dong-hyuk and actors Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon have already signed with Creative Artists Agency, or CAA.

Before “Squid Game,” Park was mostly in theater and gained recognition among the public for his performance in tvN’s drama series “Prison Playbook” (2017-18). The actor was also in the Netflix film “Yaksha: Ruthless Operations” (2022).

Earlier this month, Park received his first Emmy nomination for supporting actor in a television series for "Squid Game."
