J-Hope of BTS is releasing a solo single titled “on the street” on March 3, BigHit Music said Monday.

The track “[shares] his can did feelings toward his fans,” the agency said via a post on fan community platform Weverse. The title comes from “street dance,” referring to J-Hope’s “roots” and where “his dream to become an artist began.”

“on the street” is a lo-fi hip-hop track which J-Hope helped to write and compose.

On Sunday, J-Hope became the second BTS member to announce that he will soon start his military service. He said that he has canceled his enlistment postponement and is waiting for a specific date.

Jin, the oldest member of BTS, started his service last December.
