Yugyeom of boy band GOT7 has been selected as the K-pop star who looks and performs best in university festival jikcam videos, or artist-focused clips, according to the fan-voting platform Picnic.

Throughout the poll, which ran from May 8 to 22, Yugyeom came in first with 188,919 votes. Girl group ILLIT’s Wonhee ranked second with 100,020 votes, followed by BabyMonster’s Chiquita with 69,843 votes.

Yugyeom debuted as a member of GOT7 in 2014 with the EP "Got It?" and gained popularity with hit songs such as "A" (2014), "Just Right" (2015), "If You Do" (2015) and "Hard Carry" (2016). As the group's main dancer, Yugyeom delivered standout performances, creating numerous memorable jikcam moments, according to Picnic.


Yugyeom surprised fans by taking the stage at Korea University’s festival on April 1 while serving in the military, and artist-focused videos of the performance went viral afterward. The singer enlisted for his mandatory military service on Sept. 29 last year and is expected to be discharged in March 2027.

Picnic noted that the poll highlighted the loyalty of Yugyeom’s fan base, as he topped the ranking despite his absence from public activities. The platform also pointed to strong participation from international fans.

In collaboration with the Korea JoongAng Daily, Picnic hosts weekly polls on a wide range of topics related to K-pop artists.
