Boy band Oneus will be returning to the K-pop scene with a new EP next month, according to its agency RBW on Monday.

Titled "Pygmalion," the new EP will be released on May 8.

The official countdown for the album began on Monday. RBW posted the logo of the boy band's upcoming album on its social media.

Like the title, the logo's designs display clear inspiration from Pygmalion from Greek mythology who fell in love with his own statue, Galatea.

"Just as Pygmalion eventually was able to achieve what he wanted, the upcoming EP contains Oneus' aspiration to completely overturn its previous image and be re-born into a more desirable band," said RBW in a statement.

The EP will be the first new music from the band since member Ravn departed Oneus last October, shortly following allegations of cheating and blackmailing made public by his apparent ex-girlfriend.

Oneus debuted in January 2019 with the EP “Light Us.” The current members of the band are Seo Ho, Lee Do, Keon Hee, Hwan Woong and Xion.

Its last music was its eighth EP titled "Malus" which was released last September. The lead track "Same Scent" topped local music charts upon release and was crowned No.1 on all four of Korea's weekly music shows.
