CIX delay release of EP after Bae Jin-young reinjures ankle
CIX will postpone the release of its upcoming EP after one of its members, Bae Jin-young, sprained his ankle, the boy band's agency CP Entertainment said on Wednesday.
Bae is said to have hurt himself while practicing choreography for CIX’s upcoming comeback performance for the group’s third EP, “Hello Chapter 3. Hello, Strange Time.”
Earlier this month, Bae injured his ankle and was told to rest. After taking some time to recover, he resumed practice but reinjured himself during the final choreography practice.
The release date of CIX’s third EP was set for June 30, but his doctor advised that it would be difficult for Bae to go on with the promotional schedule, according to the agency.
Boy band CIX made its debut in July 2019 with “Hello, Stranger,” which Bae joined after finishing a year and a half as a part of Wanna One, a project band of the second season of Mnet’s “Produce 101.”
