Chaerin of girl group Cherry Bullet to join upcoming historical K-drama 'The Queen's Umbrella'
Chaerin of K-pop girl group Cherry Bullet will join the cast of the upcoming tvN historical drama “The Queen’s Umbrella,” her agency FNC Entertainment announced Thursday.
Chaerin will play the teenage version of lead Kim Hye-soo’s character in the drama. Kim’s character is a strong-willed queen who will go to any lengths for her sons to compete for the crown.
“The Queen’s Umbrella,” which is also set to stream on Netflix, will be Chaerin’s first foray into a historical drama, although the Cherry Bullet member has acted in various web drama series in the past.
The first episode of “The Queen’s Umbrella” will air next week on Oct. 15 on tvN.
Chaerin debuted as one of the seven members of Cherry Bullet in 2019, with the EP “Let’s Play Cherry Bullet.” The group is best known for songs “Really Really” (2019) and “Love So Sweet” (2021).
