Fifty Fifty's 'Cupid' lands at No. 19 on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart
Fifty Fifty's "Cupid" landed at No. 19 on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart, marking the highest ranking for a K-pop girl group's song that does not feature a U.S. artist.
The song, which became popular on TikTok, climbed 22 rankings on the Billboard Hot 100 chart from the previous week, according to the U.S. music chart on Tuesday.
Girl group Blackpink peaked at No. 13 with "Ice Cream" in 2020, which was a collaboration with Selena Gomez. Besides "Ice Cream," Blackpink's highest ranking was No. 22 with "Pink Venom" in 2022.
Fifty Fifty first landed on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 94 six weeks ago and has been steadily climbing the chart since.
"The achievement is all the more meaningful because it was done by a single group, without collaborating with a pop star," the girl group's agency Attrakt said in a statement.
Fifty Fifty also landed at No. 9 on the British Official Charts' Official Singles Chart Top 100 list on Sunday, becoming the first K-pop girl group to have a song in the top 10.
