Girl group EXID to release EP to celebrate 10-year debut anniversary
Girl group EXID will release an EP to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of its debut.
The group announced the news during a livestream on social media platform Meta on Wednesday.
The EP, titled “X,” will be released on Sept. 29. “X” in Roman numeral means 10, signifying the group’s anniversary. It will consist of three tracks — lead track “Fire,” “Leggo,” which the group dedicates to its fans and is also the name of the group’s fandom, and a song with an unrevealed title that member LE produced.
EXID debuted in February 2012 with the single "Whoz That Girl." The group is best known for hits "Up&Down" (2013), "Ah Yeah" (2015) and "DDD" (2017).
In May 2019, EXID announced its indefinite hiatus after members LE and Hani left the group's agency Banana Culture, and the group agreed that they would halt its activities in Korea to focus on individual careers in acting or singing.
EXID currently has five members: Solji, LE, Hani, Hyelin and Jeonghwa.
