Girl group Viviz collaborates with Korean-learning app Teuida
Girl group Viviz collaborated with the Korean-learning app Teuida to create content that sees its members act as teachers.
In the seven learning material videos made available from Thursday, members SinB, Eunha, and Umji star in simulations for introductions, hosting a meet-and-greet, having a video call and other situations in Korean.
“For many years, Viviz has been leading the spread of Korean culture by communicating with fans in various ways,” said Jang Ji-woong, founder and CEO of Teuida. “We hope that through content starring Viviz, Hallyu fans will also take interest in the beauty of the Korean language.”
Teuida is currently used by two million Korean learners around the world.
Viviz has been active in promoting Korean culture, such as attending the Grammys Global Spin event in April wearing modified hanbok (traditional Korean dress). It also received a certificate of appreciation during this year’s Hanbok Culture Week, hosted by the ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism last month.
Viviz consists of members of former girl group GFriend: Eunha, SinB and Umji. GFriend debuted in 2015 and disbanded in May of 2021. The three members re-debuted as Viviz in February 2022.
The group dropped its second EP "Summer Vibe" in July and participated in Mnet's K-pop survival program "Queendom 2," earlier this year.
