Girls’ Generation's Taeyeon to hold virtual fan meet on Feb. 14
Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation will hold a virtual fan meet on Feb. 14, the day when her third full-length album drops. The album is titled “INVU.”
SM Entertainment announced Wednesday that Taeyeon will hold an online live session via Girls' Generation’s YouTube channel. The program, titled “Taeyeon INVU Countdown Live” starts at 5 p.m., an hour before the official drop of her album so that Taeyeon can “calm her nervousness with her fans” and “do the countdown event.”
During the online session, she’ll talk about the album in more detail, share personal stories related to the songs and unbox the album package that her fans who have pre-purchased are set to receive.
On Feb. 7, Taeyeon opened an exhibit at Punto Blu Seoul, an art gallery and cafe located in Seongdong District, eastern Seoul, to give a preview of the album. The exhibit runs until Feb. 14.
Taeyeon debuted in 2007 as a lead singer in the girl group Girls' Generation. The group has hit songs “Gee” (2009), “Run Devil Run” (2010) and “I Got a Boy” (2013).
Taeyeon made her solo debut in 2015 and since then has released songs including “I” (2015), “Rain” (2016), “Fine” (2017), “Four Seasons” (2019) and “Spark” (2019). Her second full-length album “Purpose” was released in October 2019. She is also one of the seven members of SM Entertainment’s new girl group, GOT the beat.
