IZ*ONE's Jo Yu-ri to release first solo EP next month
Jo Yu-ri, a former member of girl group IZ*ONE, is set to release her first solo EP "Op.22 Y-Waltz : in Major" in early June, according to Wakeone Entertainment on Tuesday.
Jo posted a teaser image for the upcoming EP on her Instagram page on Monday night. It features a bright green background and a pair of black leather boots.
Before her career as a K-pop soloist, Jo was one of the four main vocalists in the project girl group IZ*ONE, which featured the 12 winners of Mnet's K-pop girl group survival program "Produce 48" (2018).
The group debuted in October 2018 and produced hits such as "La Vie en Rose" (2018), "Violeta" (2019), "Secret Story of the Swan" (2020) and "Panorama" (2020). After the group disbanded last year, Jo made her solo debut in October with her single “Glassy.” She was the second member of the group to debut as a soloist after IZ*ONE's leader Kwon Eun-bi.
