Kogyeol of UP10TION tests positive for coronavirus
Another member of K-pop boy band UP10TION has tested positive for Covid-19, the group’s agency Top Media said on Wednesday.
Kogyeol’s coronavirus test result was positive on Tuesday, while the rest of the members’ were negative, the agency said.
After member Bitto tested positive on Monday, the other members had to be tested, and the results were released late Tuesday night, the agency added. Bitto was confirmed positive after being notified by health authorities on Sunday that he had been in contact with a Covid-19 patient.
The agency said the members who tested positive for the virus will follow the health authorities' guidelines, while the other members and their managers will self quarantine for two weeks.
Other K-pop acts, celebrities and staff of music programs who came into contact with the group to record music shows on MBC and SBS over the weekend were all notified to take the coronavirus tests. The K-pop acts included NCT, CNBlue, aespa, AKMU, and Treasure. All their results were negative.
