Some members of girl group Momoland and Super Junior have tested positive for Covid-19 over the weekend, according to their respective agencies.

MLD Entertainment confirmed Sunday that Momoland’s Nancy and Hyebin have both contracted Covid-19 in Mexico.

Momoland has been in Mexico since early this month to appear on various radio programs and local television show "Todos a Bailar" to perform new song "Yummy Yummy Love."

According to the agency, Nancy has been vaccinated twice and Hyebin has also received a booster.

“The group has halted all activities and the two members will focus on regaining their health,” said MLD Entertainment in a statement. “We apologize to fans and staff members who have supported the group’s promotional activities.”

Momoland member JooE earlier contracted the virus on Feb. 1.

"Yummy Yummy Love" dropped in mid-January. Momoland collaborated with Dominican star Natti Natasha for the song. Natasha is a famous singer-songwriter known for her song "Criminal" (2017) and "Sin Pijama" (2019).

The group's trip to Mexico was its second, following a visit in 2019 during which they appeared on Mexican cable music channel Telehit.

Momoland is a six-member girl group that debuted in 2016 with track "Jjan!" Its members are Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin and Nancy.

The group gained popularity through its 2018 song "Bboom Bboom." It has also released songs such as "Baam" (2019), "Banana Chacha" (2019) and "Thumbs up" (2019).

Boy band Super Junior member Kyuhyun also tested positive for the virus on Friday, according to his agency Label SJ.

“Kyuhyun tested positive after a PCR test on Thursday,” said Label SJ. “He has since cancelled all scheduled activities and is currently quarantining with minor symptoms.”

The agency added that Kyuhyun has been vaccinated three times. Other members of Super Junior all took preemptive Covid-19 tests that came out negative on Friday.

The band had announced last week that it will soon drop a special single, although the exact release date has not been announced.

Super Junior debuted in 2005 and is best known for songs “Rokuko” (2007), “Sorry, Sorry” (2009), “Mr. Simple” (2011) and “Mamacita” (2014). It currently consists of nine active members: Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun.
