A Korean remake of the hit Taiwanese drama series “Someday or One Day” (2019) will be created by Netflix, the streaming platform said Thursday.

Netflix announced that it has cast Jeon Yeo-been, Ahn Hyo-seop and Kang Hoon for the lead roles.

Netflix Korea’s remake is titled “A Time Called You.” The series revolves around the time-traveling fantasy romance between three protagonists — Joon-hee, Yeon-joon and In-gyu. In the year 2023, Joon-hee continues to miss her boyfriend Yeon-joon who died a year ago. She somehow travels back in time to 1998 and wakes up in the body of a different person, 18-year-old Min-ju, and meets Si-heon, who bears an uncanny resemblance to her deceased boyfriend. In-gyu, Si-heon’s best friend, has had a longtime crush on Min-ju.

Jeon and Ahn will each take on double roles of Joon-hee and Min-ju, Yeon-joon and Si-heon. Kang Hoon will portray In-gyu.

Director Kim Jin-won from drama series “The Innocent Man” (2012) on KBS and “Rain or Shine” (2017) and “My Country: The New Age” (2019) on JTBC will take helm of the series. Npio Entertainment, Lian Contents and Studio Flow will produce the series.
