Season two of 'Yumi's Cells' to air from June

The second season of the hit television series “Yumi’s Cells” will begin airing in June.

On Tuesday, Tving released a teaser image series, exciting fans of the hit series and mega-popular Naver Webtoon that the series is based on.

The Naver Webtoon of the same name, created by Lee Dong-geun, is one of the most popular webtoon series thus far. Its 512 episodes have garnered some 3.2 billion views and 5 million comments during the course of its over five-year run.

Actor Kim Go-eun, who played the protagonist Kim Yumi in the drama series will continue to play the lead role. In the teaser image, Kim now has long hair, just like Yumi in the webtoon series. Actor Ahn Bo-hyun will continue to play the character of Goo Woong.

"Yumi's Cells" centers around an average 30-something-year-old woman named Kim Yumi and some 200 different cells residing in her brain. Each of the cells has a different purpose, with some controlling her thoughts, some her emotions and others her behaviors.

The drama series is produced by Studio Dragon, Marycow and Studio N and distributed by Tving.
