Seventeen subunit BSS sells nearly half million copies of single 'Second Wind'
BSS, boy band Seventeen’s three-member subunit, sold 478,000 copies of its first single “Second Wind” on the first day of its release, the band’s agency Pledis Entertainment announced Tuesday.
The single also topped the Hanteo daily album charts on Tuesday.
It also makes it the most-sold album released by a subunit group in the first week of release, according to Pledis.
“Second Wind” is described as an album that “can take care of not just your exercise time when you need some energy, but also your entire day,” explained the agency.
BSS, first formed in March 2018, is comprised of members Seungkwan, DK and Hoshi of the thirteen-member band Seventeen. The name of the subunit comes from each member’s real name — B from Seungkwan’s last name Boo, S from DK’s first name Seokmin and the last S from Hoshi’s first name, Soonyoung.
