Yonghoon of Onewe will start military service next month
Onewe member Yonghoon will begin his mandatory military service next month.
His label RBW Entertainment announced June 21 that Yonghoon will enter a training camp on July 12. To keep fans from gathering there to say their goodbyes, the label said it will not reveal the exact location and time of his enlistment.
“We want Yonghoon to enlist quietly without any special procedures, like the other men present,” the label said in a statement. “There will be no separate official events to prevent the spread of Covid-19 on the day of enlistment.”
The label said Yonghoon will "faithfully carry out his duties" and come back as a “mature man.”
The 27-year-old Yonghoon debuted as the leader of an alternative rock band in 2015, originally called M.A.S 0094. In 2017, the band signed a contract with RBW and was renamed MAS. In 2018, the band was again renamed as Onewe and debuted again on May 13, 2019 with the single “1/4.” The members of Onewe are Yonghoon, Harin, Kanghyun, Dongmyeong and CyA.
